At the end of each day, you will return to Camp Beaches – a dedicated indigenous bush camp at K’gari. Camp in comfort with free showers, real flushing toilets, sheltered areas with seating, and solar lighting. Camp Beaches is also the only area on Fraser Island where camp fire is permitted! The site is managed by two resident Aboriginals who often put on cultural performances, share dreamtime stories, and play the didgeridoo.

Tour Rates

$310 per person

Please note: This is a group package, there will be a maximum of 8 people per vehicle.
Example: You have 4 people in your group, at least 4 additional people will be added to your group to fill the vehicle.

This is a tag-along tour, with a lead 4WD driven by an experienced Tour Guide.

Essential Information

Drivers
Clients wishing to drive on Fraser Island must be 21 years or older and hold a current and full drivers license. International drivers license are preferred.

Briefing Details
Comprehensive briefings on how to drive the vehicle and what you will see and do while on the island.
Briefing commences at 6:30am on the day of departure

Included at no extra charge are:

  • Full tank of fuel
  • National Park fees
  • National Park Vehicle Access fees
  • Comprehensive insurance
  • Roll Mat
  • Luggage storage at Hervey Bay
  • Ice on the first day of the Safari

Extra Costs, Not included
Please note that food, alcohol and sleeping bags are not included in the package. Customers are advised to budget approximately $20 to contribute to the grocery shopping. You will be given time to purchase alcohol on the day of your departure. Sleeping bags are available for hire at $10 cost and $10 deposit per safari.

Insurance
Each vehicle is covered by comprehensive insurance. Within the $60 local charges that guests are required to pay, an insurance excess reduction fee is included which will reduce vehicle insurance excess from $5000 to $2500.

Bond
A $ 750.00 security bond is required per vehicle.

Crystal clear Lake McKenzie, Sand Blow, Lake Wabby, Eli Creek, Central Station (old logging depot) and it's monstrous Bunya Pines, Spot baby turtles at Lake Allom, Wanggoolba Creek, Maheno Shipwreck on 75 Mile Beach, Coloured Sands, watch Sharks from Indian Head, Champagne Pools
