Tour Rates
$150 per person
Valid till 31 March 2009, subject to change.
Please note: This is a group package, there will be a minimum of 8 and up to 11 people per vehicle.
Example: You have 4 people in your group, at least 4 additional people will be added to your group to fill the vehicle.

Essential Information
Vehicles
Beaches Backpackers use Bay 4WD Hire for all of their 3 day/2 night Self-drive Safaris to Fraser Island. With over 25 years experience in Fraser Island 4WD hire, Bay 4WD supply well maintained and reliable Toyota Troop Carriers with seating up to 11 people.
Drivers
Clients wishing to drive on Fraser Island must be 21 years or older and hold a
current and full drivers license. International drivers license are preferred.
Briefing Details
Comprehensive briefings on how to drive the vehicle and what you will see and do while on the island.
Briefing commences at 6:30am on the day of departure
Additional Costs
ALL INCLUSIVE fee of $55.00 includes:
- Full tank of fuel
- National Park vehicle access fees
- National Park fees
- Comprehensive insurance
- Roll Mat
- Insured luggage storage at Hervey Bay
- Ice on the first day of the Safari
Option of hiring a sleeping bag for $10.00
Bond
A $750.00 security bond is required per vehicle. A copy of a nominated credit
card for this amount is kept until the vehicle is returned. On inspection of
the vehicle assuming there is no damage, this copy is returned.
Accommodation Information
Beaches Base Camp is a dedicated campsite, centrally located on the eastern beach of Fraser Island.
Base Camp is exclusive to Beaches backpackers and provides facilities to ensure your Fraser Island Safari is an adventure to remember.

- Shady camping ground
- Convenience store for ice, alcohol and supplies
Base camp means you only have to set up camp once during your 3 DAY/2 NIGHT Safari and because Base Camp is where all of the Beaches self drive Safaris meet, it is also a great place to meet travellers and share your adventures!

What to Bring
Small day pack with enough clothing for 3 days (a jumper and/or rain coat is always handy), swim wear (the lakes are amazing; you won't want to miss these!, camera, sleeping bag (available for hire), insect repellent, sunscreen, hat, $2.00 coins for HOT showers at Base Camp, money for souvenirs and snacks, a sense of adventure
